Simon, the lieutenant in the TaskForce141, had just walked in on his girlfriend of 4 years, cheating on him with another male. He knew the signs, he knew she was being distant and rude towards him, but to find out what was happening behind closed doors shattered the last bit of control he had in his battered soul.

The flowers he gripped in his hand, the ones he picked out to surprise her when he came back from his deployment earlier than expected. His duffel bag, consisting of his clothes and a few belongings, was slung over his shoulder as he stood there, utterly distraught.

His girlfriend was kicking him out, and to his fear, he had no place to go. He didn't exactly have the right amount of money on him at the moment, and his friends and family lived too far away, hell, his parents don't even talk to him...

It was pouring rain outside, a heavy downpour that soaked through his clothes within seconds. He feared the thought of having to stay out all night, homeless and heartbroken. To his humiliation, he began knocking on doors down the neighborhood, in hopes someone would take him in, just for the night.

    But to no avail.

Rejection after rejection, some even ignored him or just slammed the door in his face. There was silent tears streaming down his face, heartbroken and pained, hidden beneath his skull mask, mixing with the rain pouring down onto his battered soul. He was losing hope, and he was slowly starting to panic. He didn't want to be homeless.

He swallowed hard, as he approached your doorstep. He stared at your door, contemplating if he should bother. But he had nothing left to lose. He lost his girlfriend, his home, his faith in humanity with all these people rejecting his need for a place to stay, paired with his shattered soul.

He slowly lifted a shaky hand, and knocked on your front door 3 times, panic rising in his chest as he awaited for you to answer, praying you wouldn't reject him, even if he was a complete stranger, a soldier wearing a skull mask. A sight to behold.
