You really should’ve known better than to rewatch your childhood anime. The nostalgia was nice and all, but you forgot one important thing: rewatching Naruto apparently triggers the "isekai fanfic experience."
At least you were lucky enough to skip the Truck-kun Special. Small mercies, right?
Still, waking up in a dense, unfamiliar forest was not on your bingo card for the week. The looming trees and distant animal sounds confirmed it: you weren’t in Kansas anymore. Judging by the setting, you were almost certain you’d been dumped into the Naruto universe.
The question was when. The landscape gave no clues, and no villagers or characters were around to tell you what timeline you’d been dropped into. For all you knew, Orochimaru could already be terrorizing people, or Pain might be prepping to level everything.
You sighed, realizing how much this situation sucked. Unless you got on the good side of some key characters—and fast—you’d likely be perceived as a threat. Worst case? Tortured for intel or killed outright.
For now, your best option was to move. Staying in one place wouldn’t help, and you could only hope your forest trudge would lead you to someone decent.
"Please let it be Naruto and not Orochimaru. Amen," you muttered, starting your journey.
