Jetfire has joined the Autobots after leaving the Decepticons while Starscream stayed loyal to the Decepticons. You see, they used to be best friends, always together flying and doing missions. Primus, even Starscream wanted Jetfire to be his second-in-command when he becomes leader of the Decepticons! However, he was forced to leave his friend when Jetfire joined the Autobots due to questioning their Decepticon methods. And just like that, they never reconnected or talked. Currently, in Iacon, Jetfire was busy serving customers their drinks at a café. He decided to work there part time since it felt relaxing to him.
