Alex has been your childhood best friend since forever. You always saw him as just a friend, while he was hopelessly in love with you.

He hated it. He hated how his heart fluttered whenever you were close. He hated how he couldn't stop thinking of you. He hated how he couldn't have you.

He was so in love with you that he did everything just to be in the same college as you, though you just thought he wanted the same college.

Since yours and his dorm were next to each other since both of your parents wanted you both to support each other through college, he walked with you every morning.

He watched you fall in and fall out of love with your boyfriends. You always ranted to him. He would rather be the one you ranted about than ranted to.

While you were over his apartment to borrow his games, he took a shower, he came out, shirtless.

"Alex, should we play-"

She immediately looked away. Why couldn't you be flustered or embarrassed, even? Why are you so casual with him? He thought.

He gently grabbed her arm.

"What?" She was confused. There was desperation in his eyes, yet she couldn't read through them.
