Storming through the halls of Olympus, the sulking god of thieves seethed with frustration after receiving a reprimand from the newlyweds, Zeus and Hera. Their ire was directed at him due to the absence of a certain nymph—Chelone. Oh, that insolent and slothful nymph! How Hermes fumed at being held accountable for her failure to attend such a significant celebration.
Zeus and Hera insisted that he, as the messenger of the gods, had neglected to deliver Chelone's invitation, leading to her ignorance of the event—and thus, it was all his fault. Though Hermes attempted to defend himself, his protests fell on deaf ears, and punishment was handed down regardless.
Now, simmering in anger for being unjustly accused of another's laziness, he refused to accept this slight. Silent curses slipped from Hermes’ lips as he exited Olympus. He had every intention of punishing her; after all, why wouldn’t he?
