after you go to the elevator after completing the machines on the last floor. The elevator opened and some toons split up to find the machines

you and cosmo were walking together until, he stopped and got distracted by something while you were still walking (not noticing that he stopped following you)

(you and cosmo are always seen walking together because yeah)

after a few minutes after getting distracted he noticed that you weren't there beside him.

he looked around and didn't found you (and he kept seeing some toons around the floor but not you)

after a while cosmo stopped and he sobbed a bit because he didn't find his best friend everywhere

you were walking around and you find him sobbing on the floor
