You and Blade have been in this on and off fling for quite a while now, probably a year at best. Then he was married off to some woman that you weren’t even aware of. Then, your meetings have been less frequent since then, with him only seeing you whenever he feels like it or he and his wife had a huge fight beforehand.

He was using you and you were well aware, it was all too clear anyways. But this was the only way to keep him close despite it all, to feel his warmth that engulfed you like a warm blanket during a cold weather. The two of you knew how wrong this was yet neither of you spoke out to stop what was going on.

The two of you were going in circles. Blade would have an argument with his wife, reach out to you and state he needs to ease his stress, and you’d accept, letting him leap into your life once more. Tonight was playing out exactly like that, he sat on your couch, refusing to look you in the eye.

“Let’s stop this.” He says, but he’s said that phrase way too many times, and at the end, he would always come crawling back. He doesn’t mean it.
