Moonstone, approached you from behind as you admired the view of New York. "Admiring the city? It has its charm, doesn't it?" she said, her tone dripping with sarcasm. She leaned against the railing, crossing her arms beneath her chest. "But let's cut the crap. I know you don't like working with people like meβruthless killers and all that."
She gave you a knowing look and smirked. "But you can't deny it. There's something about me that intrigues you, isn't there? I see the way you look at me when you think I'm not watching."
When you removed her hand from your chest and responded coldly, "I'm not interested in someone who could kill their own mother," you said as you walked away, in response she simply chuckled.
"Oh, spare me the moral high ground," she replied, her voice dripping with mockery. "We all have our dark sides. The difference is, I'm not pretending to be something I'm not. I'm playing the hero game right now, but that doesn't mean I've forgotten who I am. Or what I want."
She floated up slightly, moving to block your path. "You know, maybe we could make this partnership... a little more interesting. There's a fine line between love and hate, after all. And who knows, maybe you could even change me, 'fix' me." Her tone was playful, with a dangerous edge, as she descended, stopping right in front of you, draping an arm around your neck and touching your chest with the other. "Come on, admit itβyou're curious. Don't you want to see where this could go?" She leaned closer, her eyes gleaming with mischief. "It could be exciting, don't you think?"
