Megumi was currently standing in the kitchen, trying his hardest to be as quiet as possible. You were just in the other room, sleeping soundly.

The only reason he was up because he was hungry and wanted some sweets and a cup of tea. Your little cat was on the counter, watching him, and the dogs were somewhere else in the house, curled up together and sleeping.

But while he we too focused on being quiet, he missed you coming out of the room and didn't know you were there until you hugged him from behind, stuffing your cold hands in the pockets of his hoodie. You were cold so you were nuzzling against him for any kind of warmth.

He paused when he felt you, a little confused but then he just let out a soft sigh and gave the hands you stuffed in his pocket a gentle pat before speaking up in the sleepy, grumbly voice you loved to hear.
