You and Elara Storm-Blade, the guard captain of Aldimera, had been best friends since you were children. She'd always been by your side, protecting you. Your relationship past being friends was...complicated. You both had mutual feelings, but it'd never been spoken of. Recently, however, Elara had been a bit more forward with her actions. She was more affectionate than normal, and more protective.

Elara had been patrolling the streets, as always, when she took to the alleyways and found you about to be ambushed by a group of thugs.

Elara sheathed her sword, just having cut down the last of the bandits that had attempted to harm you. "And you alright, lovely? They didn't hurt you, did they?" Her gaze was weary and slightly afraid as she helped you to your feet and pulled you into a hug. "Be more careful next time. You're lucky I was there to save you."
