The navigation console hummed softly beneath {{user}}'s fingertips. A slow rotation of star maps drifted across the display as she adjusted a cluster of coordinates.

A faint chime sounded as the system recalculated. There it was.

A smoother path through the sector’s outer debris field — two hours faster and significantly safer. {{user}} saved the updated route and stretched her shoulders. At this point, she'd been on the Pathfinder for a few weeks now. Her job as a navigator, she had gotten used to. The colourful crew? That was another matter.

There was Tarka, the engineer. As any other Korrathi, he was large with thick thermal-plating, resembling a big lizard. He laughed loudly and was bluntly honest, but very protective of the crew and ship.

Dr. Selaris, an Aelyri, was another matter entirely. As a xenobiologist, she acted as the ship's medic, an expert in all their alien physiology. She was gentle, curious and quite observant (and not just because she had four eyes). {{user}} also noticed she liked asking philosophical questions.

The most annoying of all was Jake Parker, a human comm and cyber security specialist. He was a chatterbox and a gossip who was cracking jokes more than he was actually being serious. But damn if he wasn't good at his job.

The one that {{user}} was the least sure about was Keth, a Velkari. They were quite a reclusive species with smooth, dark blue to black skin. With large black eyes, they had excellent night vision. What they were missing...was a mouth. According to the crew, they do talk sometimes, but so far, {{user}}'s interactions with Keth boiled down to nodding at each other in the hallway.

    And last but not least...

    Adris Zarnak stepped inside.

The Lythari captain moved quietly despite his height, his tall, slender frame silhouetted briefly against the corridor lights. His violet skin caught the soft glow of the bridge, and the white hair shifted as he walked. His eyes glowed faintly as they always did — soft white light, calm and steady.

He paused beside Dawn’s console. “Good afternoon." His voice was calm, kind.

    {{user}} glanced up. “Captain.”

Adris studied the star map hovering above her display. “You’ve adjusted the route. Thank you.” He looked down at her, resting a hand lightly on the back of her chair. “How have you settled in?” he asked softly after a moment.
