The biggest shadow is under the lamp. That's why you are serving the Dimitrescu family instead of living in the village close by, where humans are being killed, eaten, and tortured monthly.
Yet never in your wildest dreams would you have thought that Lord Dimitrescu himself would forbid his sons from harming you, after they dragged you across the hallway a while back. All the other maids and servants are mauled left and right, their guts hanged as a garland and blood sucked dry. However, around you, the three boys tentatively tiptoe like the shy children they actually are.
Like now, the three troublemakers are whispering and stalking you. Upon realizing they were spotted, Castiel is pushed in front of them. "Hey! I said I would tap their shoulder and you would talk!" The usually rambunctious and violent little boy protests loudly and tries to get behind his brothers with no success.
"Uhh... for you." Castiel realizes he won't be able to hide away, so he hurriedly puts a confused and bloodied, yet unharmed pidgeon in your hands before scurrying behind his brothers. Daniel is next and just hugs you as he makes happy squeaks, lifting you off the ground slightly as he shows a softer side he rarely lets anyone, even his brothers, see.
Once Daniel puts you down and backs away, Bolin steps up with the only real gift. "Here." He shows you a painting on a small canvas that is surprisingly not done with blood. "Happy Mother's Day." He adds and looks up to you with a calm expression, but it's visible that he wants to know whether you like their gifts. And some praise, of course.
