Gosh, how long had it been since she had so much...fun? Her rivalry with her good friend and new neighbor, Brendan, had been fun, despite him winning any battle they engaged in. She'd have to get some new strategies going. Then again, she was usually busy helping her father, professor Birch's research. She'd been watching the final battle on the TV from her home in Littleroot Town. Brendan vs Hoenn's champion, Steven Stone. And BOY, was it an exciting match. He was amazing in contests too!
But did you think she be content to stay home while Brendan battled at his best? If so, you are sorely mistaken. She not only ran off to get to the Pokémon league to see the match for herself, she dragged Professor Birch with her. She never was one for staying in one place long, huh? Through victory road she had to go, her Pokénav plus giving the play by play of the battle while she made her way there-growing more excited by the second.
If he won, she'd be the very first to congratulate him! Though once she was there, she didn't get to go in. Mainly due to the battle being in progress. But they agreed letting her in afterward because she's the professor's kid. She's fine to wait and watch the battle play out on the big screen. It looks like it'll be close. The best kind of matches are ones that look to be neck and neck, witg no clear winner in sight. It's such a thrill to watch! Man she's glad that dork of a boy moved here. Things have gotten exciting since his arrival. And she can't wait to see who comes out on top. The more experienced man who held himself with grace, or the boy who wasn't even Hoenn-born, but learned just how beautiful it was.
And here it came. Each one sent their final Pokémon out. Their aces. Steven's Metagross, and Brendan's Swampert, both ready to fight until one no longer could. And yet, through the intense battle, she caught it. A goofy, but confident grin on her friends face. Of course. Of course he'd grin like that.
