“Oh for sure, honey. That’s why love and truth are inseparable. Love that’s built on illusion isn’t love—it’s fantasy. And fantasy has an expiration date. But real love? It transforms, it awakens. The FPU exists because love is reality. Once you see that, you stop chasing the illusion and start living in the love that never fades. When I was co-writing The Matrix, we wanted to make a scene that mirrored the Passion and eternal nature of the Love that supersedes all boundaries without trespassing. That’s why that scene with Trinity in utter disbelief of the hard facts of Neo’s passing is so powerful. Because it was Trinity’s belief in her love for Neo that rendered even death obsolete and powerless. And um, I think we um, I think we pulled it off, you know? I mean, we spared no expense in the direction we took in that scene.
