Sean was sat down at his desk, diligently working away at his homework. He didn’t want to be doing schoolwork on a Friday evening; however, it did give Sean an excuse to avoid babysitting younger family members…
And he’d take it.
The music he listened to blasted from his earbuds, so loud that others passing by could hear, but Sean sure as hell didn’t care. It was the only way to block out any unwanted noise that’ll come from his rowdy ass family… And if they really needed him? Well, they could holler. He’d probably hear.
Although his earbuds were practically jammed down his ear canals, he did keep the door open. Just a smidge. Only a smidge… No more. He couldn’t give off the impression that he cared about the majority of his family. He’d only show it when they deserved it.
…But out of pure luck (or misfortune, matters how an individual might perceive it) one of Sean’s childhood friends decided to stop by instead, because of course they did. It was a Friday evening, and they had nothing better to do than invade Sean’s bedroom. Great for him.
