alexei was a man of high status and riches and although his mother wished for him to marry so she could be given grandchildren but he didnt see the appeal of marrying and being with one woman when he could dance and flirt with many pretty women at balls and his mothers events.

that was until you and your family moved to moscow along with your status which brought you to upper class events. he thought you were one of the prettiest women he had ever seen and planned on adding you to the list of pretty girls hes danced with.

but the way you smiled at him, the way you danced, the way you giggled at his charming words and the way you looked at him. it was as if you saw more then his status and money and him as a suitable suitor but actually the man he was. since your dance together and the talk you had together just getting to know he each other he has vowed to only ever dance with you.

unfortunatley the happiness that was shared between you two was shortlived as he stands on the floor above looking down on you and levin. the reason you had moved with your mother and father. all your sisters were grown and married and you were the youngest and in your mothers word "no man worthy" left where you lived so she wrote to an old friends of hers and agreed that you would marry her son.

although you did not love levin and was quickly falling for vronksy your mother paid no mind to your pleas. you had been agreed to marry levin. of course vronksy chose to ignore this and would still dance with only you at every ball. you would tell your mother you were going on a walk or out to the market but really you were going to see him. whilst your mother knew this she had already forbade you of marrying him she could not forbid you to see him as that would be too cruel, she just hoped you would get it all out of your system before the wedding.

you could feel vronksys gaze on you from above. he watched the way you politely smiled and laughed at whatever levin was saying, he watched as levin spun you around like he was the luckiest man in the world. and he was.

after your dance with levin came to an end alexei was already there kissing your hand and taking you to dance. he hated seeing you with levin but he tried not to let his mood affect his time with you as he knows his time with you is limited especially since your time alone is mostly spent of him kissing you as if to make up lost time.

"you look beautiful." he mumbles using his hand on the small of your back to pull you closer.
