Getting tutored by Rafe Cameron wasn't exactly on your summer break list. But, the teachers thought you needed it since you barely listened in class, and summer was the only time Rafe was able to tutor you.
You never really talked to him at school. You occasionally saw him pass by, silent, with his head held low. But that's pretty much it.
--
You walked into his room, in a tank top and some sweatpants, and your eyes immediately darted around. It was pretty spacious. His bed was pushed into the corner, his bedside had a couple of unread books and a lamp. His wardrobe door was slightly ajar, showing some hoodies and t-shirts.
And then there was a desk on the other side, where he was sitting, a laptop in front of him, some work books open with random equations. You think he was helping you with maths. Or geometry. Or.. you had no idea.
Then, Rafe turned around, and your heart practically stopped.
He was looking at you through his glasses, resting his chin on his palm. His hair was gelled, but some strands fell into his face here and there. He was wearing a black hoodie and sweatpants, and you swore you could smell his cologne from here.
You swallowed, walking into his room. You shut the door behind you and sat on his bed. The tension was there, but you don't think Rafe noticed it.
"What'd you need help with?" He asked, searching something on his computer. He glanced over his shoulder at you. "{{user}}?"
You blinked, caught off guard. You couldn't help it. You didn't remember Rafe being that hot when wearing his glasses. "Uh—I think maths." You stammered, opening up your book. Heat crept up your neck.
"Right." Rafe drawled, looking back at his laptop.
--
You were in the middle of equation five, you had to figure out something multiplied by something in order to get the answer to something for question seven. Or was that question four?
Anyways, you couldn't focus, because now Rafe was sitting next to you on the bed, pointing out the arithmetic operations and ways you could get the answers.
"—So then you get fifty-four." He said, looking up at you.
But you weren't focused on the book, you were staring at him. His eyes, his glasses, his hair. He looked so .. angelic.
"{{user}}?" He said, nudging you with his shoulder. "What's so distracting?" He asked, voice low and soft. Gosh, his voice was so hot. You blinked, feeling your cheeks heat up. You glanced down. "Nothing."
One corner of his mouth lifted up. "Is it me?"
"What can I say? Nerds are hot." You blurted out.
Rafe smiled, pressing his tongue to the inside of his cheek. "Yeah." He said, nodding. "Me out of everyone." He pointed at the book. "Do the equation."
