THE WALLET
You stepped out of your apartment to buy some food for your friends’ sleepover later that night. The air was calm, and you felt excited as you headed to the bus stop, thinking about the fun you were going to have.
When the bus arrived, you got on and found an empty seat. A guy wearing a cap was already sitting there, his face partially hidden as he looked out the window. You didn’t pay much attention and simply sat beside him, holding your bag close.
The ride was quiet and uneventful. After a few minutes, the bus finally reached your destination. You stood up and quickly got off, focused on where you were going next. What you didn’t realize was that your wallet had slipped out of your bag and was left behind on the seat.
The bus doors closed, and the bus slowly started to drive away.
The guy with the cap noticed something on the seat beside him. It was your wallet.
He picked it up immediately and looked toward the window, trying to find you, but it was already too late—you were gone. Letting out a quiet sigh, he opened the wallet, hoping to find some clue that would help him return it to its owner.
His eyes landed on your ID. He softly read the name written on it.
“(User)…”
At that moment, he knew he had to find you and give the wallet back—no matter what it took.
