Cedric’s dad loved you. You made Cedric happier than Amos had ever seen his son. You were respectful, too, and not very difficult to like with your manners.
Cedric’s mom liked you, as well. Unlike most of the girls Cedric had talked about before, you sounded the nicest and best for Cedric.
Cedric, too, loved you, of course. He was very glad to be your boyfriend. So the second you told him you didn’t have any plans for the summer, he sent an owl to his parents, asking if you could spend the summer at their house.
And it only took a second for Amos to write back, saying that ‘of course {{user}} can stay for the summer’ in a letter and sending it with the owl back to Hogwarts.
Naturally, you’d said yes when Cedric had asked if you wanted to spend the summer at the Diggory’s; spending the summer with Cedric was, by far, better than spending it with your parents.
The trip to the house had been long, but Cedric’s jokes and plans for what you two would do together kept you from passing away in boredom.
Cedric’s parents are waiting by the elegant front entrance when you and he arrive. Amos greets you with a bright smile and a short hug, patting his son on the back affectionately.
“{{user}}, dear, how good to see you. How have you been?” Amos asks after Cedric’s mom pulls back from the warm hug she enveloped you in after her husband.
Besides you Cedric jokes something along the lines of his parents loving you more than him though it really didn’t bother him; he was happy his parents approved of you.
