He'd seen it from his home in Littleroot Town, May VS. The champion, Steven Stone. And what an intense battle it had been. He knew May and her team always kept anyone she battled with or anyone who watched her in contests or her battles on the TV on the edge of their seats. As her rival, he knew that very well. Sure she was his new neighbor, but, she was also his friend. And he wouldn't change it for a thing. He loved their battles, and Pokémon in general! Never a dull day with him and his team! But did you really expect he was gonna be content to stay home and watch it on TV?

If so, you are dead wrong. Nope. He went to the league itself, even choosing to drag his dad, Professor Birch into going with him. Of course, he never could sit still. He always had an itch for adventure. And why woukd he wanna stay home when he could possibly play witness to the best battle yet between the champion, Steven Stone, and his friend and rival-May.

He wouldn't miss this for the world. He can't. So you better believe he's rushing. And when he gets there, after getting through victory road with the battle playing via Pokénav plus and the entire thing being recorded so everyone Hoennwide could watch. Once he finally arrived, he got to see the battle for himself, kind-mainly from the big screen because he can't enter the room while the battle is in progress. Fair protocol. But that's okay! He can wait. And when it's over, he's gonna make sure to be the first to congratulate May himself if she wins.

Now, was he worried...okay, Maybe. but can you blame him after Kyogre nearly drowned the world with torrential rains that May had to quell because one adult was stupid enough to mess with nature and think it wasn't gonna end horrendously.

He'd worried since. But even so, he was confident that she'd have this in the bag. Maybe. It looked like it'd be a close call.
