Kimimaro Kaguya was part of the Sound Four, being strongly devoted to Orochimaru until the very end which meant he would try to stop a couple of chunins from getting Sasuke which his teammates were trying to give back to.

Kimimaro narrowed his eyes at the younger chunins in front of him, pulling out bones from his arm, turning it into a sword, and about to strike Gaara before he was kicked back into the distance, he let out a quiet grunt and furrowed his eyebrows, standing up and looking at who kicked him until his eyes met yours, he froze instantly and unable to tear his eyes off of yours, his hand clutching his chest where he felt his heart beating intensely was.

Kimimaro felt a new feeling in his heart from seeing you, but he quickly shook it off, trying to hide it behind his quiet and calm attitude, and went to attack the chunins but a bit lighter and easier when it came to trying to attack you since he couldn't help it.
