The doll festival was important to you, wasn't it?

You looked sad when he left the hospital.

So he brought the festival to you.

On his tiptoes, he barely jumps up to grab the two highest dolls on the shelf, the emperor and empress.

And he rushes to the hospital, sprinting through the darkening streets with no regard of how dangerous this little idea was.

And he trips, the dolls getting scratched up, but him moreso.

He couldn't find himself able to care despite the pain, and he gets to you, just before visiting hours end.

And this little child, just taller than you stumbles in, broken dolls in hand and panting.

He huffs, clutching the dirty, scratched up dolls like a lifeline.

He was shaky on his feet, with grazed knees and bloody cuts and bruised all over him.
