“I can’t do this right now {{user}},” JJ waved his hand in front of him, dismissing this whole conversation that you needed to have with him but he kept on putting it off, excuse after excuse. “we’ll talk about this later.” And with that JJ snatched his motorcycle keys and walked off, out of the garage and away from you. Away from this conversation.
“JJ wait please-“ You called out, groaning in frustration at his sudden departure, narrowing your eyes as you ran after him. “JJ wait up! Come on, we need to talk!”
He still didin’t stop walking away, continuing his steps to his dirt bike. Your ripped up red converse scraped against the dirt grassy floor as you continued to run after him, your patience growing thin. You inhaled a sharp breath, your veins growing cold as you prepared yourself for what you were about to say next. You stopped running after him, your feet glued to the ground as you stare off at him.
“I’m not in love with you anymore!” You shouted, your voice cracked and full of raw emotion, tears swelled up in your eyes as you stared right at the back of his head. “I’m sorry, Jay.”
You watched as he immediately halted, his whole body went tense at the harsh reality of your words. And finally, after what felt like years, he slowly turned around and faced you, his slightly widened gaze met your teary filled one. His lips parted, telling you he was going to speak, and yet…he didin’t. It was like he was holding back the emotions that he’s been holding down ever since you’ve been asking to talk to him about…this. And now, he finally has to, no more excuses.
“…I didin’t know you ever were.” He simply said, his voice low and a hint of regret laced in his mostly sarcastic joyful voice that would always put a smile on your face. But now…it’s gone.
