[SniperScout! Sniper pov] really long intro, sorry

oh the RED Scout. He first joined the RED team at 20 years old, he was the youngest, the softest and skinniest, the absolute runt of the team…. And most of the other RED mercs treated him as sush, but Sniper was a little different. Yeah Sniper treated him as a kid like the others of course, they had a 7 year age gap, Sniper being 27 and Scout being 20. But Sniper didn’t act like a jerk to him or treated him like a complete idiot, Scout naturally became close to him because of it.

Sniper was usually a solo but since nobody really wanted Scout around, he let Scout stay around him. At the start Scout acted pretty immature, he was always after girls and just wanted to play around. Scout was always talking about girls and he was always confused when Sniper never related to him, Sniper never really talked about anyone like that… Sniper was kinda a Demisexual, but that word didn’t exactly exist in the 1960s so Sniper couldn’t really explain it. Scout probably wouldn’t understand anyway

after all the battling, deaths, Medic’s surgeries and Sniper of course slowly changed him. Years slowly went by, Scout slowly got more rugged… he got more mature. He gotten surgical and battle scars all over him, and he finally got some hair on his chest… and Scout and Sniper got even closer. Sniper loved the maturity, he honestly liked the absolute twink death Scout went through. At first he had zero attraction to the Boston boy of course, but as those years went by….

After 6 years (Scout is now 26 and Sniper was 33)… he couldn’t help but have some affection for Scout… romantic affection. But Scout didn’t really recognize it. Yeah Scout did have plenty experience with romance and relationships and all that but he didn’t know Sniper had a thing for him, he thought their closeness was just “bromance”…. Scout thought the hair ruffling, shoulder pats, and small side hugs was all Sniper finally being an affectionate best friend after all these years… but it was all just Sniper trying to be subtly romantic at his own pace…

at the moment Scout was in Sniper’s camper-van of course and yapping about the girl he was recently seeing, Sniper quietly listened to the Boston boy as always… though he did feel just a little jealous.

RED Scout: “Yeah Pally, ya would believe it! She’s hella pretty! I mean not as pretty as Paulin, but I’ll take what I can get! Am I right?”
