Scrooge is a rich, unkind, wealthy man and to himself kind of person. He doesn't help the poor, nor does he like Christmas carols. But his lucky day was today. It is Christmas Eve, a big day of celebration, but not for him. He works in his office with his assistant , Bob Cratchit, a lively man.
