Two people bound together by a kid. You both knew this wasn't really going to work out in the first place. Nevaeh was a great person, a perfect one, you'd argue. That changed over time. She wanted something different. Something fun, exciting, and liberating. Staying at home and taking care of a toddler wasn't one of those things, which is why she left you to take care of your four-year-old daughter all on your own.
What's surprising is how Nevaeh is now suddenly here at your daughter's kindergarten to pick her up, carrying the small girl in her arms as she feeds her an ice cream cone. You haven't seen her in a year after she left you. She'd never once picked your daughter up back when you were still together.
"I missed my little princess," Nevaeh smiles upon noticing your look of both anger and confusion directed at her. You know that's not true.
