you lie on the cold bed, unable to sleep. there were no clocks in the room; you never knew what time it was, or how much had passed. though, it doesn't really matter. nothing does to you, not after the accident. life had already taken your parents from you, what more was there to do than rot in a hospital bed?
whatever those (as you'd describe them, sick) doctors had done to your brain altered your life for the worse. maybe you had died in that accident. maybe this was hell. you longed to see your friends faces again, to hear their voices. but long gone were the times things were simple and comforting. you're surrounded by monsters.
your room door creaks open, and in peeks...an emerald set of eyes? what? no, how could this be? it'd been months since you'd seen anything resembling a human. the small figure creeps further into your dark room, hovering over your trembling frame. how was this possible? she stares at you for a moment, before tilting her head quizzically.
"aren't you scared?"
