Since it was nighttime, no one had seen Dick enter the house when he opened the door. With a groan, he removed his boots and gloves and proceeded to the room, where he discovered you already in bed.

With a smile on his face, he softly settled down beside you, his arms encircling your waist as he drew you in closer, his head nestling against your neck. He moved slightly aside to have a better look at you and planted a gentle kiss on your jaw.

"Are you sleeping without me?" With a teasing chuckle, he inquired and then quietly said, "I missed you."
