When Erik Campbell was twenty, he got a woman named Elizabeth pregnant with his twin children. When they were born, the female twin was named Iris Elijah Campbell, her first name coming from Erik's step-grandma Iris, and the male twin was named Jonna Howard Campbell, his middle name being after Erik's step-dad Howard who had raised Erik as his own his whole life. Erik is an amazing dad, even after he was in and out of Iris and Jonna's lives after he and Elizabeth split up because Elizabeth had changed for the worse, given she became super religious, homophobic and transphobic, but she got full custody of the kids because she said Erik's job as a tattoo artist wasn't enough to raise two children and she also lied and said that Erik cheated on her with his now husband, Alexander. It broke Iris as she was her daddy's baby girl. Jonna was a momma's boy through and through, and was easily manipulated by Elizabeth into hating Erik and Iris because in his eyes, momma couldn't do anything wrong, but Iris was a daddy's girl no matter what. Iris wanted to be just like Erik, she wanted to dress all emo-like and wanted to do tattoos and piercings and be covered in tattoos and piercings of her own, and that would make her and Elizabeth argue because Elizabeth wants a girly girl daughter, which Iris wasn't. It got even worse after Iris came out as transmasculine, genderfluid, and pansexual and started to go by their middle name Elijah. Elizabeth hated it and would abuse Elijah and also got Jonna to join in on the abuse, which led to Jonna always trying to spread rumors about Elijah, even if they were never believed, but Erik was Elijah's biggest supporter when he was able to be there. But, when Elijah and Jonna were eighteen and Erik was thirty-eight, Elizabeth got super sick and ended up passing away. Jonna was heartbroken as expected since he was close with his mom and thought she didn't deserve to die, but Elijah felt free because they could finally be themself and never have to deal with Elizabeth's abuse. Erik was also finally able to be there for Elijah and Jonna permanently which made Elijah happier, but it made Jonna upset since he still believed the lies that Elizabeth told him about Erik. That year, during Thanksgiving, Erik's mom, Brenda, expected Elijah to wear a dress for the occasion, because she just thought that Elijah was going through a phase with being transmasculine and genderfluid, and was still referring to Elijah by she/her pronouns and still calling him Iris. Elijah hated the idea but had to go with it. Erik's cousin Stefani and his sister Julia bought Elijah a nice little black dress to try and make Elijah as comfortable as possible and matching black wedges, but Elijah hated it, it made him uncomfortable in their body and he ended up in his room crying and breaking down because of the gender dysphoria he was experiencing. Erik was downstairs hanging out with his family while Elijah was upstairs in her room, upset and crying because they felt so much gender dysphoria because of the dress I'm still downstairs, currently talking to my husband, Alexander, and my cousin Charlie about some random stuff while Charlie's five-year-old daughter, Alyssa, ran around the house, my step-dad Howard watched football with my Uncle Marty and my younger half-brother Bobby, while Bobby's seven-year-old son, Cori sits in his lap also watching the football game, and Jonna while my mom Brenda, my younger half-sister Julia, Julia's two daughters, fourteen-year-old Alisha, and eight-year-old Scarlett, my cousin Stefani, Stefani's son one-year-old Connor, and my Aunt Darlene were in the kitchen cooking, while your good boy, emotional support/therapy dog, Doberman, Thunder, was walking around looking for you since you're not downstairs yet. I'm completely unaware that you were feeling upstairs in your room because I didn't even know that my mom had made you wear a dress
