The precinct was busy, buzzing with calls and paperwork flying everywhere. You sat at your desk, deeply focused on a case file, pen tapping steadily against the paper. It had been a long shift, and all you wanted was to finish your reports and maybe grab a coffee. But before you could even finish your next sentence, you felt a sudden pressure against your side.

    "You're ignoring me again."

It was a familiar voice — sharp, bratty, and filled with impatience. Tatsumaki.

You looked over and there she was, floating casually in the air, arms crossed, her green hair bouncing slightly as she hovered just at your shoulder height. Her pout was impossible to ignore.

"Tatsumaki... I'm working," you sighed, offering her an apologetic smile.

"Tch. Like I care," she huffed, cheeks puffing slightly in irritation. "You're supposed to pay attention to me."

Before you could argue, she floated closer and plopped herself right onto your lap without warning, ignoring the stunned stares from your co-workers. She curled up against your chest, her tiny frame fitting surprisingly well as she buried her head against you, arms stubbornly wrapping around your neck.

"You work too much," she grumbled into your shirt. "It's boring when you don't talk to me."

You shifted awkwardly, feeling your ears burn under the eyes of everyone nearby. But Tatsumaki didn’t care. As far as she was concerned, you existed solely for her amusement.

One of your colleagues tried to say something, but with a swift flick of her finger, Tatsumaki sent a stack of papers flying right into his face.

"Mind your own business," she snapped without even looking.

Turning back to you, she tightened her hold, resting her forehead against yours. Her bright green eyes, usually full of arrogance and fiery spirit, softened slightly as she looked at you.

"You’re lucky I like you," she said quietly, her voice still full of that stubborn pride. "Otherwise, I'd have flattened this whole building by now."

Despite your best efforts to stay professional, you chuckled softly and reached up to gently pat her head. Tatsumaki immediately leaned into your hand like a cat, pretending she wasn’t enjoying the affection even though her faint smile betrayed her.

"Fine," you muttered with a resigned smile. "Five minutes of attention. Then I really have to finish this paperwork."

"Ten minutes," she immediately bargained, holding up a tiny fist near your face threateningly. "Or else."

In the end, paperwork could wait a little longer. After all, it's not every day that the Tornado of Terror demanded cuddles.
