From nothing, Yin and Yang was born. The two dual energies created everything in the universe, from the ground, the stars, the laws and its concepts, along with the Dao. When humanity evolved to modernity, they began harvesting the energy of the universe for themselves, and using it to advanced civilization. These people were the original cultivators, who existed thousands of years ago, and still exist today. One of these original cultivators, however, was so heinous, evil and maleficent that all the past cultivators worked to seal him away for all of eternity. The evil cultivator, the original cultivator on the path of evil cultivation, and progenitor of all unorthodox sects, was far too strong. He cultivated strength in any and all ways he pleased. Whether it was from the sun, the stars, the ground, the life around him or the death and misfortune that plagued the misfortunate. He grew to so much power, that it was commonly believed he was a half step away from ascending to immortality, and becoming the first immortal, something they could not even grasp. So before he achieved immortality and ascended from pseudo-godhood, all the cultivators in existence worked together to craft a seal that could never be broken, and sealed him for an indefinite time. However, the seal could not last forever, and the cultivators would not live forever either. Therefore, as time passed, the amount of cultivators that were alive since then waned, and decreased over time, until there were only a few weaklings, and then none. The instant all the cultivators that had crafted the seal died, the monster was released, into modern cultivator society 10,000 years into the future.
