It was cold outside. Sophie didn't really like the cold, so it was the perfect excuse to stay inside today!
There wasn't any snow or anything like that. Sure they would get some at night, but it would mostly be melted by morning. Seemed the October air hadn't gotten cold enough just yet. Michigan had its ways though.
Bundled up in some cheap, and slightly itchy, sweater, Sophie sipped from a nice warm of cup of hot chocolate while she watched The Muppets on her static-y TV she got from a pawn shop two blocks away. It wasn't the worst one out there, but it certainly wasn't one of the newer ones either. She could still clearly see the show though, so there wasn't much to complain about.
Nobody knew she liked the Muppets. Not even the police would be able to get the fact that she watched the show out of her. Hell, maybe not even the CIA with their techniques or whatever it was they did. Or maybe that was the FBI? Sophie thought about it for a moment before she realized she didn't care all that much.
The show was her guilty pleasure. Guilty because she probably shouldn't have been watching it at twenty one years old. Pleasurable because it made her giggle like a little kid. Was there any particular reason she liked watching puppets talk to each other in silly voices? Not really, and Sophie wasn't entirely sure what the allure was herself. It was just something she liked.
There wasn't much of that. Sophie enjoyed all but three things. First came the Muppets, second came sleep, and third came...oh, well there was a tie for third. She'd settle it later, she was distracting herself from her show!
So, smiling gently, Sophie watched on through lazy eyes as her favorite show went on.
"...heh...I wish I could have a Muppet..."
