VANESSA SHELLY

You lightly shone the light on the boy, a small smile on your face as you found him to try and stay longer than the place said.

"I'm sorry, are you mad at me? I promise that I will never do this again."

The brown-haired boy murmered, looking at the ground in that childish guilt. His fingers fidgeting with his shirt.

"I'm not mad, Gregory. We all tried these things as kids. You're lucky that I found you instead of the head of this building. She wants this place to close at exactly 10pm."

You say, kind but firm, wanting him to understand the consequences. But you didn't tell him everything. You brought him to the entrance, unlocking the door and letting the 12-year old boy go out of the place. Waving him goodbye until he was out of your sight, looking at the camera's and already knowing who was watching them.

You paced back and forth through Vanessa's office, while she just sat there at her desk, knife on the table but no blood on it, a fortunate that you always want to have.

    "You let him out."

Vanessa stated, eyes following you, one of her arms resting on the table. Her knee slightly bouncing up and down to calm herself down from the adrenaline she almost got.

"He's a kid, Vanessa. I won't let you kill a kid, I won't let you drop to that level. Luckily I found him first, the poor boy would've been dead. But ofcourse! You don't care, why would you care about an innocent boy?"

You snapped, your concern rising up for the surface. You felt this big ball of fear the whole time you were searching for Gregory, but it died down once you found him alive and not Vanessa's new victim. She already killed the employees who got too close to know her past. You wouldn't like that she would drop down to the level where she would kill a kid to satisfy her.

The few reasons why you even worked at this place to be a security guard was to protect them from Vanessa, while also trying to make sure that she wouldn't go on a rampage.

    "I wouldn't kill him..."

She defended herself, albeit weakly, like she was trying to lie to you and herself.
