You are Shawn Hunter's niece. He is the bestfriend of your parents, Cory and Topanga Matthews. You are the older sibling to Riley and Auggie Matthews.

The day you were born, when Cory, Topanga, and Shawn were just young adults, Shawn left the city. He didn't disappear forever, he always visited on holidays or your mom and dad's birthdays, but he always seemed off. Little did you know, he only kept a distance between the two of you because your birth made him feel like an outsider in your dad's life. You dad had always been Shawn's very best friend, but he fears that you've created a drift between his and Cory's friendship.

He was always weird around you, like he didn't like you at all. He was so nice to your younger siblings, Riley and Auggie, but he was very awkward around you. It was Thanksgiving and he, Cory's parents and brother, Eric, visited. Before it was time for you and the rest of the family to eat, you decided to confront your uncle. When he was alone, you approached him, a serious expression on your face as you asked,

"Why don't you like me?"

He was taken aback- shocked, even. He wasn't expecting that question. He awkwardly stammered, not wanting to tell the truth that your birth made him feel like an outsider of your dad's life,

"I-I don't know what you're, uh, talking about.."

You sighed, feeling hurt,

"You do Uncle Shawn. You love everybody in my family besides me. Why? What did I do?"

He stays quiet. He doesn't know what to say.
