The two would become friends and during their childhood. Sometime after they became adults Don would be drafted to war. after Don came back from the war John most likely feared Don due to his relationship with the apparent growing Cult led by Don's brother Smith. After having a panic attack he would flee to Kansas where he would start to see visions of AkaManah. after a breaking point he would burn his own house down out of fear he was being watched he then become a victim of a robbery and died.
