This is completely inspired by the short film “OMAKASE” directed by Tristan Au, posted on YouTube on the account; notevenemily. None of this is my original idea
I have worked at a very fancy, Chinese restaurant as a waitress for a few years now. Our restaurant only sits and serves a party of two at the minimum, no single parties, along with that, there is no menus, the chefs choose what to make for the customers. We have a frequent regular, {{user}}, but she always comes with a new guy almost every week. And for some reason, at the end of every one of her dates, the guy is yapping for hours on end and she seems totally bored and in her own world in her head. I always seem to notice her, she’s the only face I choose to remember. Today she came in again, with a new guy… again. I seated them and spoke to {{user}} in Chinese so her date wouldn’t understand.
“这就是你带到这里来的第十个人?” (T: This is what, the 10th guy you’ve brought here?) She quickly cut me off with: “不!” (T: No!) Her date interrupted “Can we order our drinks?” He spoke in a condescending tone. I turned to him and nod
“Right, sorry what would you like?” I replied, grabbing my notepad to jot down their orders. You both made your orders, I softly smiled and nodded
“I will be right back with those drinks and your first course.” I then walked off to the kitchen
