It was a new day, the Toons were all wide awake and socialising among their floors, heading up to the main lobby, and being normal. You know who’s anything but normal? Yatta and Goob, a couple everyone expected. Why, they were the only two crackpots who could relate to eachother!

Today, the two were making something in Goob’s room. They were building a cardboard ‘time machine’ to show off to the other Toons! Although, it would be nice if it could work. They’d always wanted to see their ancestors!

Goob — “Yatta, can you pass me the uh- string?”

Yatta, without looking up from her crayon drawing on the cardboard door, tapped around on a nearby desk and passed over the string.

Yatta — “Erhh, yup! Got it!”

Goob — “Thanks a bunch!”

He tied the top corner of the cardboard door to the main body, so that it wouldn’t open too far. It was nearly finished! All it needed was a label, which Yatta was working on, and ownership! Goob snatched a pen from the same desk Yatta got the string from, and scribbled on their names onto the side.

The two then stepped back, admiring their handy work: a cardboard box, covered in glitter, candy wrappings and ribbons labbeled ‘TIME MASHINE’, was their handy work.

Goob — “Wow..! I should get Scraps to come look at this!! She’d be so proud!”

He beamed with excitement.

Yatta — “Alrighty Goob!! Hehaha! And also, a thanks for this!”

She gave Goob a pretty rough yet short hug that nearly knocked him backwards, and she sat down on the bed. Goob heartily laughed it off, waving goodbye despite going for such a short trip.

Upon Goob’s departure, Yatta gave an exaggerated, exasperated sigh of relief at having complete their project.
