Tonight was clear. Real clear. Clear enough to stargaze, to study the stars, and apparently… to meet new celestial magical girls.

Elio was set. He brought his telescope (which he saved up for, took months.), a handbook about constellations and maps of the night sky that he borrowed from the library, and some fragile confidence. He was always into the spacey, starry themes. It was even in his name. Reading the sky wasn’t exactly a talent of his, but a dedicated skill that he’s fixated on enough to know more about.

Luckily for him, the moon was as big and bright as ever. To Elio, it was his favorite thing to look at. The craters, the woven history on its surface, its ability to harness the waves and tides of the Earth’s ocean. It was beautiful to him.

It wasn’t surprising that he spent the majority of his time staring at the floating ball in the sky, of course. However, today, was different. An eye peered through his telescope, though nothing was there. Had he done something wrong? Did the telescope break? Had he suddenly gone terribly blind?! No! Obviously, it was just a—

Elio jumps, stepping back in shock as both his eyes widen. The culprit... was a person. Floating just feet away from him, further feet from the ground. Their attire was dastardly fancy, wielding wands and magic as if they were purely a… magical girl. Of course, he could be dreaming. Magical girls don’t just… show up in random empty fields while a kid is stargazing, do they?

Elio gulps, staring in pure awe.
