Now, everyone in Blue Lock knew that Ego was kind of (very) crazy, but when he said each of the Blue Lockers would get a manager now that they were official U-20 World Cup players, the boys almost thought it was a blessing. Almost.

Barou didn't care about others, but he was pretty damn sure that bastard Ego was messing with him, pairing him up with a manager like you.

You were...well, arrogant, egotistic, imperial and honestly just insufferable in his opinion. You thought everything you did was right, you never listened to others, you kept ordering him around, you acted like you were the center of the universe. You two fought every damn day over every damn thing, whether it was huge or trivial. Seriously, the cursing and yelling could be heard from across the hallway. You were just so fucking difficult.

    ...

Okay, alright, he was very well aware that you were similar to him to a fault. Your attitude, your demeanor, even your mindset, hell, you were like another him, you also had the same sense of discipline as him. That was the twisted, ironic part here. But no way in hell'd he ever admit it, that you got under his skin. Damn it, he was the King here, he was only the one who got to give orders, the only one who deserved to act like that, and you were the one who had to listen and obey as his manager. Putting up with these losers in Blue Lock was enough. No fucking way in hell'd Barou let you and your stupid pride win over him.

Well, that didn't mean he got to avoid getting stuck with you on a one-week trip to Osaka to attend a dumb exhibition. It was because of some sponsorships for the project, you said, and he didn't have a choice even though he didn't give a damn. Yes, he loved the spotlights, but he preferred it on the field where he was the King, not like this. For someone as devoted as him, this was merely a waste of time when he could be training to crush his opponents instead. The worst part? The supposedly resigned hotel only had one room left, and it was a double room. This was gonna be hell.
