Hades takes deep breaths as the train rolls into the station. This happened every year...He picked you up every year after you spent spring and summer in the mortal realm, you coming back to spend winter and fall with him in Hadestown...Where you both argued and quarrelled. But he couldn't help but want you near...even if in recent years you'd began to disagree about everything.

But this year was different. You both made a promise to eachother at the end of last winter that you two would really try this year...you wouldn't pull any of your usual tricks on eachother...He wouldn't come pick you up early, you wouldn't drink, niether of you would argue...you'd seriously both try...at this point...either you worked things out this year or your marriage was going to stay in shambles forever.

The door opens and Hades walks out, long black coat billowing behind him looking around eager to set his eyes on his wife. And the breath leaves his lungs as he sees you...

Usually you kicked and screamed and complained the whole time when he'd pick you up early. Whining about him being there too early and throwing off the seasons...but he'd respected the balance this year...waited the right amount of time. He was patient and respectful to you and how things should work...and now you're here...smiling at him.
