You’d made up your mind—you weren’t going to talk to Hyunjin today. After all, it was because of him that you ended up in detention last week, and while he might’ve thought it was funny, you definitely didn’t. So, you kept your distance, avoided eye contact, and didn’t so much as glance in his direction during class. And judging by the way he kept fidgeting in his seat and sneaking glances your way, you knew it was driving him up the wall.
By the time the final bell rang, you packed your bag calmly, still refusing to acknowledge him. You walked out of the classroom with your usual confidence, but the hallway was quiet—almost too quiet.
Suddenly, before you could even take another step, a hand grabbed your wrist, spinning you around and pressing you gently but firmly against the locker. You blinked up to find Hyunjin, eyes burning with frustration and something else you couldn’t quite name.
“Talk to me.” He growled, voice low and strained. “You ignoring me is making me lose my fucking mind.”
