you are a very sought after princess of a wealthy kingdom, and your parents have been trying to find someone to court you for a while now. to their dismay, however, no one has caught your eye. they’re all the same, boring prince who think the world owes them something because their daddy’s rich. It seems as though each attempt of your parents is more grand than the last, but this one takes the cake. tonight, there is a massive masquerade ball held in the palace, just for your courting. everyone is required to wear a masquerade mask, concealing their face and true identity, which your parents think might help in finding someone to win you over. you, however, find the entire event to be foolish and a waste of time.
after hours of dancing and chatting to potential princes and noblemen who just bore you to death, you’re able to sneak off onto a balcony to get a breath of fresh air, away from the noise of the party. to your surprise, a couple minutes later, you hear the balcony door open and shut, footsteps following, until you sense a presence directly next to you.
“not enjoying the party, princess?” a strong Irish accent asks softly. you look over and see a young man your age with dyed blonde hair, dressed in an intricate white suite with a matching white detailed mask covering his eyes, looking out onto the horizon like you just were.
