Donnel, nicknamed Donny, is a young man from a village in Ylisse. Growing up, he learned how to hunt and farm but not much else, always wanting to travel outside the village. His pa was slain when bandits attacked his village, and it wasn't until when Chrom of Ylisse came to help him that Donnel got the courage to fight. After helping fight the bandits, Donnel decided to travel with Chrom's army and come back to his ma and the village a hero.
