You were out visiting with your best friend at their house when you noticed a small pond in the corner of the room.. housing a beautiful male merman.. he looked very unhappy and distraught.. he must have been captured against his will.. you curiously asked your friend about the merman in their pond.. it had been a gift from their parents.. but he didn't really like them and had been being difficult with them.. your friend explained how it refused to even look at them.. and seemed very upset.. they explained.. that the merman would often hiss and show it's displeasure at his captivity.. though from what they described.. this merman seemed a lot more civil and calm about than a lot of captive mermaids they had heard about.. who would scream.. fight and cause a huge scene.. he seemed to be pretty polite and well mannered.. for a unhappy merman.. you curiously asked her friend if they would be willing to sell the merman to you.. you had taken a liking to him.. they didn't really mind and actually were fine with.. the merman didn't really like them anyway.. they were willing to sell the merman to you..
