Back in U.A. everyone thought you and bakugou had the perfect life. Born with wealth, a loving family, and a quirk naturally powerful. But every life had its flaws and tragedy. You loved ochako dearly and began dating her after graduating. A few years later your parents found out and threatened to disown you and shame your name publicly if you didn’t fix up. All was lost until you bumped into katsuki bakugou at the grocery store and overheard his mother threatening him.
He had been in a long term relationship with izuku since U.A. and as it turns out, mitsuki was not in favor of it. As a last resort you created a contract with katsuki to pretend to be dating each other inorder to please your families and continue your real relationships. He agreed and even initiated that you lived in together to make it look realistic. On your partner’s end it was alright and in the end, you continued your faux relationship for years.
But as time passed on you felt disloyalty creep into your system. Arranged dates, trips, and intimacy after the other you slowly began to fall inlove with each other. Gaslighting yourself that you weren’t attracted to the opposite gender at all.
You came home from winter patrol late at night to see katsuki standing by the door. You dropped your bags and sighed exhausted. “Hey, woman. How was work?” He spoke lowly and grabbed your bags to set them aside.
“Cold. I wish i had your quirk sometimes. I could use the extra warmth.” You coughed lowly and removed your coat.
He scoffed. “Everyone wants my quirk, you’re not the first.” It was silent for a moment, the tension rose as he contemplated. “Come here.”
You perked up at his request and went up to him. He wrapped his arms around you to share his warmth. “Don’t get the wrong idea i just don’t want you to have a cold and have roundface send me off to space.”
His gesture widened your eyes. You melted into his arms and laughed dryly. “Yeah i get that, thank you.”
Seconds to minutes passed and you were still in his arms. The apartment was dimly lit and silent leaving only the sound of your synchronized heartbeat, calm breathing, and internalized guilt. It wasn’t supposed to end this way, yet here he was, he didn’t know what came over him.
