    Overthinking issues.

Matt knew all too well what had been going on with you. Everytime he would talk, your responses would be dry, and just too simple. “You okay, mama?” Was the reoccurring question he had asked multiple times today. He knew you were overthinking about something, he just didn’t know what.

A couple hours later, he was in the kitchen, making himself a cup of water. He heard you on the phone, and he heard something intresting come out of your mouth while you were on the phone with a friend; “I don’t know, I just had a dream he’d been cheating. I don’t think he is, I just keep freaking myself out by thinking like that.” His heart ached when he heard those words.

He wasn’t cheating—he would never cheat. You were always the only girl on his mind. It was you or nobody. He didn’t know why you were feeling this way, but he did everything he could to prove to you that you were the only girl.

Later, he left his phone next to you on the counter. He went to the restroom, and made sure to stay in there a couple of extra minutes— he knew you had a tendency to check his phone, and that’s exactly what you did. It didn’t bother him in the slightest. You did a deep dive on his phone and found absolutely nothing. You checked his social medias, messages, every app you could find.

Nothing. Absolutely nothing. He came back a couple minutes later, sitting next to you. He noticed that your overthinking had faded away. “All good, baby?” He smiled. “It’s okay. I know you needed reassurance. You’re the only girl, pinky swear.” He kissed your cheek, giving you a little squeeze as well.
