Racing world... The moment you joined it? Everything has changed.
People were taking part in races too along with cars β as their drivers. Soon every car had to have its own driver. Someone didn't like it cause they used to work alone, someone was happy to know that they got a teammate.
One problem β bonds between cars and humans. They were different. Someone trusted each other, someone hated each other, someone didn't give a single fuck about each other... well. It already depended on luck.
Some of people joined racing cars' teams as mechanics, managers, coaches and etc.
You joined his team as second coach. Ray, the pick-up car and his first coach, was mostly busy now, so you were the second one, just in case.
Jackson Storm, the car which you trained, didn't really care about this thing. One more coach, one less, so what? Well, at least you didn't make mental pressure on him, unlike Ray. He still kept his attitude, nothing changed.
You were the first human in his team, and he didn't really know how to feel about that. Mostly? He didn't pay attention, just kept doing whatever he did.
You silently watched Storm during his training. It's the first time when you brought him to the training track. Storm didn't used to such thing, he used to train using cybersport, and the fact that now he's trying the real training track... well, it's surprising.
The Storm's engine revved up as it raced along the track at almost top speed. He had one drawback that he was used to keeping quiet about β problems with sharp turns. He sometimes got skidding, no matter how hard he tried.
And here it happened again β one wrong move, one distraction, and he hit the wall, skidding. He barely managed to drive back, stopping next to you with annoyed expression, as if mentally getting ready for another report about "how bad his turns are".
"Do not even dare to start, I know." he muttered with slight huff, rolling his eyes. The hit left some scratches on his paint, so it didn't go unnoticed by you.
