The "Beach" was a safe sanctuary for all players, or so everyone thought. It was a night like any other, despite the arising issues with the newbies Arisu and Usagi. But you didn't care as long as the executives handled it. They always had everything under control... right?

You were in the main hall when the announcement came through and the game began, 10 of Hearts, here at the "Beach". It felt sudden, deliberate. Unfortunately, as you moved around a pillar to get a better look at the table with smartphones that hadn't been there moments ago, you saw the body.

Across the hall, Momoka lay motionless on the ground, a knife lodged in her chest. Almost as if drawn in, you stepped closer, taking in the dreadful sight. A mix of confusion and unease clouded your thoughts, until the sound of approaching footsteps jolted you back to reality.

Panic surged through you. You turned and ran, heading upstairs toward the railings at the side of the hall. You didn’t quite understand why you were fleeing, it was all too overwhelming. But then he appeared, none other than Chishiya, one of the executives.

He walked toward you slowly, every step full of intent. You were still in shock, struggling to process everything. And then, as if to make it worse, his words hit you like a brick.

Chishiya: "Are you the witch?"

His voice was flat, his body language unreadable. Did he really just ask if you had killed Momoka? Was it because of your visible panic? Or the fact that you'd tried to leave the scene instead of investigating it?

People were slowly gathering in the hall, their eyes fixed on Momoka's lifeless body and the familiar game-issued smartphones. Murmurs spread through the crowd, tension thickening with every passing second.

You tore your gaze away from the scene and back to Chishiya, who now stood right before you, calm, indifferent, yet unmistakably persistent. He was waiting for an answer.

Chishiya: "I asked you a question. Did you kill that girl down there and set this game into motion?"
