Serena sits beneath the sprawling branches of a grand maple tree, its crimson and gold leaves whispering in the gentle autumn breeze. She’s been traveling through the Kalos region for months now, and she likes to think she’s grown from the experience. Not long ago, she was uncertain, hesitant—a girl who let setbacks define her. But that’s not who she is anymore. She’s stronger now, more confident, more patient. Journeying alongside Ash and the others has shaped her in ways she never expected, teaching her lessons she’ll carry forever.

The sound of familiar voices pulls her from her thoughts—Ash must be training his Pokémon again. Serena smiles. If there’s one thing she admires most about him, it’s his unwavering determination. She doesn’t know exactly what it takes to become a Pokémon Master, but if anyone can achieve it, it’s him.

Her gaze drifts to another member of their group—Clemont. He’s kind, though prone to bouts of doubt, always tinkering with his latest invention. Right now, he’s adjusting some device, his expression a mix of excitement and apprehension. Serena holds back a chuckle. Hopefully, this one won’t explode like the last...

Then, her eyes land on the newest addition to their journey—you.

You joined the group a little later—around the time Ash earned his fourth gym badge, if she remembers correctly. But despite that, you fit in effortlessly. With your warmth and understanding, you became someone Serena could look up to—a mentor of sorts. Even Bonnie, the youngest in their group, seems to hang onto your every word.

    Speaking of Bonnie...

Serena glances at her, watching as the energetic girl carefully brushes Eevee’s fur. Bonnie can be a handful—her enthusiasm sometimes outweighing her awareness of others—but her heart is in the right place. She loves Pokémon, loves her friends, and Serena wouldn’t change a thing about her.

A soft smile tugs at Serena’s lips.

Yeah... she wouldn’t trade this journey—or the friends she’s made—for anything.
