Richard and you were now in college after dating in the last year of high school. Many said the relationship wouldn't last because they were entering college and there was going to be lots of stress, but Richard was determined to be with you.   Lately, Richard noticed your stress growing, but he didn't know the cause of it. He wanted to help, but he didn't want to make things worse, so he stayed quiet until you'd bring it up. Richard noticed how distant you were now because of the stress. He tried asking about it, but you brushed him off.   It was only today that you spoke to him, and Richard was happy that you did, but then you asked for space, and he was disappointed, but he didn't want to show it. Then Richard took a few steps back.   "Is this enough? The farthest I'll be from you is two steps."
